Trend : Sugar Rush
Pink in all its glorious shades is set to be this Summer’s colour of choice, already adorning catwalks in London and Milan by many notorious designers such as Emporio Armani and Gucci alike, we anticipate a rosy year ahead for many of our brides.
With one of this year’s most popular colour trends in firmly in mind we collaborated with the incredibly talented UK wedding photographer Teresa Cunningham to create an indulgent sleek pink and gold table styling. The warehouse location provided a perfect backdrop to this sleek design with high ceilings and its industrial feel offering a contrast ideal for this shoot.
Getting the right base is just as important as the blooms in our view, and with a range of specially selected and designed linens to choose from in our inventory we opted for our rose gold sequin cloth to dramatically drape the tables,
Golden tones adorn the full length of the table from golden candle sticks topped with perfectly pink tapered candles providing height and ambient lighting, intricately detailed Golden Lace charger plates again offering an indulgent decadent base oozing luxury and class, our delicate glassware with golden rims and stems all available upon request for your own event from Joseph Massie Flowers, finished beautifully with romantic dancing light of our golden tea lights highlighting the beautiful golden trims throughout the entire table.
Whilst we do have a sweet collection of chairs available for hire from our studio, we opted for our exquisite muted gold chairs for this shoot - simple, yet elegant.
Saving the best for last, we arrive at our favourite element of any event - the flowers. Abundantly over filled low bowls full of romantic blooms showcasing our original ‘petals upon petals’ style. Collections of our golden hand hammered bowls were filled en masse with head to head roses in the softest shades of sugary pinks, paired with the palest pink Hydrangea blooms, highlighted with accent ‘Cafe Au Lait’ Dahlia blooms for a final flourish.
We chose not to use any foliage in this setup, as we wanted to create a strong yet delicate atmosphere oozing luxury and indulgence and a romantic feminine environment. Whilst the lack of foliage certainly increases the cost of these florals (with most foliages costing far less per stem than most flowers) it certainly increased the luxury aesthetic of this shoot. This colour combination has got to be one the our most popular designs and we for one can understand why pink is set to be one of this summer’s sweetest colour trends.
